This document provides a description of different kind of phytotoxicity or russeting as side effect of foliar sprays with pesticides in potatoes. The impact on yield and quality is influenced by dosage, growing conditions, time of spraying and the growth stage of the plant. For pesticides which inhibit cell division, the leaf damages are stronger when the plant is the early and rapid growth stage. The different types of damage are listed according to where the symptoms are seen. Links to photos showing different kinds of phytotoxicity are included.
