The Potato Virus Y (PVY) is the most important virus disease in potato in Denmark. A prediction/warning system is described in details and the different aphids are characterised as vector for the spread of virus through different risk values. There is official tolerance levels for PVY in different seed generations and seed potatoes attacks will be reject if the tolerance level is exceeded.
